| Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to say goodbye to "vcard101." It was a good username. But, Jaclyn wanted a change. Therefore, she got a new Xanga. http://www.xanga.com/jaclynluvsyou
It's not updated. It's not pretty. It plays no music. But, it will soon. After some sleep and more Thanksgiving celebrations and homework...after all that's accomplished, Jaclyn will return to XangaLand once more.

Hearts break, hearts mend
Love still hurts
Visions clash, planes crash
Still there's talk of
Saving souls, still the cold
Is closing in on us
We part the veil on our killer sun
Stray from the straight line on this short run
The more we take, the less we become
A fortune of one that means less for some
So. How's everybody?
This is going to be short. A bit sweet.
I'm so sick of negative people.
Let me expand on that. I think everyone is allowed to their own opinion
and can complain however much they want. But seriously that's all some
people do.
You can only complain so much. Then you need to look around you and say "Hmm...can I do something to fix this?"
A lot of people miss that step. They just sit and gripe all day, every day.
Frowning causes wrinkles. Just putting that out there.
Anyway, I try to be an optimistic person and offer constructive
criticism. Not to say what I do is perfect. Some days I wake up and am
a "Negative Nancy."
But if all we do is sit around every day and point what's wrong and
never work on how to make it right, we'll never get anywhere.

More later.

| Life is wonderful.
And by wonderful, I mean it's filled with homework, not studying,
wishing I studied more, internship applications, anxiety, happiness,
mood swings, stress, wajib (homework in Arabic), lack of sleep, my CM
job, the O'Colly, planning Africa, trying to make everyone happy,
failing to do so, realizing that's impossible...and finally,
Being content.
After about 16 hours of sleep yesterday (from 2 a.m. - 6 p.m with short
intervals of leaving my dorm room), I realized that life is wonderful,
regardless of all the negativity listed above. I had started focusing
on those and forgotten for a brief instant that I enjoy being a happy
optimistic person.
But now friends, it's off to the newsroom to be productive.

| I don't have time to really be updating this right now.
Yet here I am.
I ran into a pole yesterday and now my face hurts.
I like my jeans.
I dressed up like Magenta from Rocky Horror last night and it was a lot of fun.
I also got hit in the face by a hot dog last night.
My face suffered a lot of abuse yesterday.
No one really updates Xanga that much these days. I don't want a Myspace and I just can't say goodbye to good ol Xanga.
I'm trying not to get stressed out this year. It works occasionally.
Right now, I'm rather behind in my economics class which I'm
desperately trying to care about.
I think you should read this:
http://www.nytimes.com/2006/10/29/world/africa/29ghana.html?_r=1&oref=slogin&pagewanted=all
It's long but so well written.
I really like life. I think I've decided I'm always going to be busy,
slightly tired and probably a little bit hungry, but those are pretty
much the only negatives I have going on. Sure, I could complain about a
million things right now. But can't we all? It's so easy to see the
negative sometimes.
I love both my jobs, I'm going to OSU for free right now, I have a car, I have friends, I have a great family, I'm healthy.
Some people have none of that.
Therefore, I'm thankful.
